BIOCYTE has developed the first microencapsulated nutraceutical range, for optimized absorption. Curcumin Forte x185® is formulated with curcumin microencapsulated in the form of micelles, drawing on the nutraceutical expertise of the Biocyte Laboratory.

A micelle is a complex structure with the form of a microsphere. Micelles have 2 poles: a hydrophilic pole, which is water-soluble, and a lipophilic pole, which traps oily substances incompatible with water. This dual affinity makes it possible to coat the active substance and protect it from the external environment. These micelles mimic the method used by the body itself to absorb fats and liposoluble substances. This leads to better absorption and much higher concentrations in the blood.

 By using this micellar technology, CCurcumin Forte x185® is 185 times more bioavailable than native curcumin.
