HOW IS LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE PRACTICED?The goal is to perform a pumping motion to facilitate circulation and draw the lymphatic fluid to the lymph nodes and evacuate the blood waste. Here are our tips:
1. MASSAGE OF THE BUTTOCKS (A)Grab the skin from the buttocks, pinch it between your thumb and forefinger and roll under your fingers, always up and down! Do not release the pressure between your fingers as you move. Repeat a dozen times on each buttocks.
2. MASSAGE OF THE THIGH1st step: Repeat the same movement of rolling massage as for the buttocks, from top to bottom. (B)
2nd step: At the inner side of the thigh (to find this area, it is a soft and hollow part of the thigh in the shape of a triangle): (C)
Hands flat, apply pressure from the top of the thigh to the inner side of the thigh. Make the movement starting from the bottom of the thigh upwards. The rest of the thigh will be massaged: starting from the bottom of the thigh pressure, pressure with both hands and then go up a few millimeters. Make a new pressure and go back a few millimeters to the top of the thigh.
3. THE KNEE (D)At the level of the anterior aspect of the knee (the popliteal fossa):
Press under the knee using all the fingers and slide the movement outward (five to seven movements).
At the level of the patella:
Use your thumbs starting from the patella and going up to the middle of the thigh by successive pressure.
