Melanin from black olives
Melanin is made by our skin’s cells, and particularly by the melanocytes. Melanocytes are cells present in the dermis and their main role is to synthesize melanin from a well-known amino acid: tyrosine.
The amount of melanin present in the skin determines its color as well as its ability to protect against the ultraviolet rays of the sun during a sun exposure.
Melanin has a key role in protecting the skin. Indeed, the melanin grains are able to stop some of the sun's rays. How is it possible? Melanin is able to absorb photons, to disperse them but also to capture free radicals.
Our melanin is made from black olive skin and each of our capsule contains 20mg of melanin.
Glycoserum EF® consists of glycolipids, phospholipids and ceramides extracted from wheat germ. These three lipids are the constituents of the hydrolipidic film of the skin. Ceramides are more particularly the constituents of the stratum corneum and are regulating the insensitive loss in water.
The double action of the glycoserum EF®: anti-aging and hydration. As we have seen, ceramides limit the insensible loss of water, which helps keeping our skin hydrated in the long term. Thanks’ to that, we can observe skin hydration up to 63% higher (2).
The skin is moisturized, wrinkles are filled, and wrinkle depth can be reduced by up to 22% (3) over 12 weeks of use.
Vitamin C is the true friend of your skin. Indeed, this vitamin protects the skin against oxidative stress and helps stabilize the triple helical structure of collagen. A good intake of vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen to ensure the normal function of the skin
Copper is an essential trace mineral. The nutritional intake recommended by ANSES is 1 mg per day for the adult woman and between 1.5 mg and 2 mg per day for the adult man.
Copper is an antioxidant. Indeed, it is a co-factor of superoxide dismutase (SOD), an enzyme that fights against oxidation phenomena. This trace element provides the skin with better protection against external aggressions.
