The calcium is microencapsulated in the form of sucrosomes.
Sucrosomial technology is similar to liposome technology. Sucrosomes can be used to microencapsulate active ingredients, thanks to their structure containing a protective bilipid membrane and a gastro-resistant sucrose fatty acid ester coating. This technology allows encapsulated active ingredients to pass through the stomach and gut environment without interacting with the intestinal mucosa and to thus be absorbed into the blood stream. Sucrosomial technology significantly increases the absorption and bioavailability of active ingredients.
