To best choose your routine, you need to understand how the skin works:

What is the composition of the skin and what is its role?

The skin is the most important organ in the human body. Its composition is a mixture of water and fat. Most of the skin is composed of water, approximately 70%, and 2% fat.

She has 2 main roles:

1) Support exchanges between the body and the external environment

2) Protect the body against attacks from the external environment, for example UV rays, microbes, etc.

Water content is vital for the skin to properly perform its functions. Therefore, the skin must be constantly hydrated.

Water evaporates naturally and continuously from the skin; this is called transepidermal water loss. Sweating (perspiration) also causes natural water loss. To limit this loss, the outermost layer of the skin, called the stratum corneum, acts as a protective barrier. It is thanks to water, and especially its fatty composition (especially ceramides), that it performs this protective role. This is called the hydrolipidic barrier.

If this barrier is weakened by external aggressions, then it lets water pass freely like a sieve, the skin becomes dehydrated and dries out.

What is the difference between dehydrated skin and dry skin?

• Dehydrated skin

Dehydrated skin is skin lacking water. External environmental stresses are too harsh and have weakened the hydrolipidic barrier, the skin's protective and outermost layer. Too much water evaporates from the skin. This condition is completely reversible. All skin types can be affected: dry, oily, or combination.

• Dry skin

Dry skin lacks fat, primarily ceramides, fatty acids, and lipids. It secretes very little sebum. The skin barrier is too weak and fragile in this skin type.

How to differentiate dry skin from dehydrated skin?

How to recognize dry skin:

Dry skin feels tight and uncomfortable year-round, all the time, regardless of activity. Scaling, dry patches, redness, and skin lesions are common. Pores are nearly invisible, and there are no shiny areas. It appears smooth.

How to recognize dehydrated skin:

Dehydrated skin presents discomfort only in localized areas of the face, for example very often the cheeks. It feels tight at specific times such as after showering, cleansing or outdoors. Discomfort occurs according to the time of year, particularly accentuated during periods of cold, wind, strong sun exposure, fatigue, stress, poor diet, smoking, overly aggressive cosmetics, etc.

What program should I use to moisturize my skin?

L'hyaluronic acidis a highly hydrating molecule that can absorb up to 1,000 times its weight in water. With age, hyaluronic acid reserves diminish. Supplementing with hyaluronic acid will help hydrate and plump the skin from within.

What program to nourish the skin?

Glycoserum EF® is an active ingredient composed of lipids (glycolipids, phospholipids) and ceramides that nourish the skin. Lipids and ceramides are part of the skin's outermost layer and protective shield. A supply of fat will help support and soothe skin that naturally produces insufficient fat. You can supplement with Glycoserum thanks to this product with a unique complex developed by experts:Activ' Anti-wrinkle

Why hydrate your skin from the inside?

Internal hydration of the skin is of paramount importance for maintaining its health and youthfulness. By nourishing the skin from within, this approach strengthens its ability to retain its natural radiance and effectively fight the appearance of wrinkles. By maintaining adequate hydration levels, skin tissue retains its suppleness and elasticity. By choosing to take dietary supplements, you not only nourish your skin from within, but you also provide it with the necessary elements to maintain its vitality and youthfulness, for healthier and more luminous skin.

How long should I take supplements to moisturize my skin?

The time needed to see results from taking supplements to moisturize or nourish the skin is at least 2 months. Ideally, at least 3 months.
