Body detoxification: our solutions
Rich meals during the holiday season often put the body under strain, with a host of unpleasant effects: disrupted sleep cycles, sluggish muscles, weight gain, and more. The body can then struggle to eliminate toxins. Therefore, a detox treatment is essential to rebalance the metabolism and regain energy.
The importance of detoxifying the body
An increasingly polluted environment and poor lifestyle habits are affecting the body's functioning. Every day, the body is exposed to foreign, sometimes toxic, molecules present in the air and in... chemical foods.
The excretory organs such as the kidneys, liver, lungs, intestines and skin are responsible for removing toxins from the body in order to maintain the proper functioning of the organism.
Saturated by this overflow of "toxic" substances, the organs responsible for eliminating waste can no longer perform their functions properly. Furthermore, certain factors such as stress, lack of sleep, and poor lifestyle contribute to the production of toxins, thus weakening the immune system.
Various symptoms can then appear: the body experiences a drop in vitality, the skin appears duller, dry, rough, acne-prone, etc., and digestion is slower, leading to weight gain. Purifying the body should be considered, especially after the end-of-year holidays, to decongest the body.
Successful detox treatment with food supplements
A detox is the ideal way to combat fatigue and boost energy. In concrete terms,
an effective detoxification program not only facilitates the
elimination of toxins by stimulating the excretory organs, but also helps refine the silhouette. We get rid of excess fat stored in the body and caused by excess calories more quickly.
How to start a detox treatment properly?
There are various types of detox diets, including mono-diet (which involves eating only one type of food for a short period of time), fruit juice diets, vegetable or plant diets, or even fasting without any solid food included in your daily diet. However, a detox diet should start slowly and gradually to avoid shocking the body and maintain its proper functioning. A detox diet can last from 1 to 30 days depending on the case and needs.
The accumulation of toxins mainly comes from a diet too rich in fat, preservatives, and added sugars. Therefore, you need to pay attention to what's on your plate to successfully detox and regain your ideal weight.
Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables, which are rich in vitamins and antioxidants, which counteract the effects of toxins. To reap all their benefits, cold-press them or eat them raw.
Steamed vegetables, on the other hand, retain good nutritional values. Red meat consumption should be limited, as should dairy products, especially during the detox. Instead, opt for lean meats and fish, as well as
Tofu and soy to meet your protein intake. Fried foods, overly sweet foods, and stimulants like coffee and carbonated drinks should also be limited.
To complete your detox, it's important to stay hydrated regularly. In addition to water, drink tea to hydrate your body and purify your organs and blood. This helps flush out toxins more effectively.
